Testimonials
In August 2017 I was faced with having to replace my
injured EXCA competition horse. After much frustration
of not being able to find a well-trained horse I called
Double Horn Ranch. To my delight Cole had decided to
sell one of his horses, Smokey Lonesome. Being a
novice rider, I didn’t know if I could manage a rope
horse in an EXCA race. Was I ever wrong! Because of
Cole’s work with him, Smokey is a well broke horse,
light and responsive, and has awesome ground
manners. I purchased Smokey and we headed home to
Mississippi. I was able to complete the EXCA season
riding Smokey at the 2017 EXCA World Championship.
Thank you, Cole, for doing such a fantastic job with
Smokey.

Cole Cameron and I have been working together for the
past three years on not only my horses, but on my
horsemanship as well. He has a way of communicating
with horses and people that allow us to focus on
bettering our riding, no matter what level we are on.
My first Cameron clinic, and I have attended quite a few,
I was impressed on how Cole feels of his horse and his
softness with his horse when asking for any type of
transition. When my three year old quarter horse was
ready for training, he was kind enough to work with her
and she has been an absolute rock. She and I have
been in countless grand entries and parades, in which
she is a stabilizing influence on our entire team.
When I was ready for a “back-up” horse, Cole found me
the perfect match. My new gelding is even more
fabulous!
Cole is truly a wonderful horseman and trainer. I have
sung his praises to my riding group and now several
other members of our team go down regularly for group
lessons.
I feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful influence on
not only me, but me as well.

Hi I am Trish Taylor-Ward from New Zealand. Last year
in 2017 I met and rode with Cole Cameron at Equidays
NZ, in both the North and South Island.
I found him to be both professional and encouraging
whilst I was both competing in the Isuzu D-Max off road
challenge and as a student in his demo class.
Cole became a favorite of many who rode at Equidays
as he demonstrated an excellent standard in
horsemanship and as an entrepreneur for the horse, and
for Cowboy Challenge.
We are so lucky to have had this experience and hope to
have many more in the years to come.

Well, this is truly a testimony of how good you are - both
in training colts and teaching people. I arrived home
Monday, the next day I started my uncle’s four year old
that was pretty much just halter broke, put the first ride
on him the first day and already I have three rides on
him, the first one out of the round pen yesterday and he
rode out great. Thank you for being patient with me and
instilling your techniques!

Craig Cameron Letter
Hi, I want to thank Dalene , Craig and Cole for the hospitality
they showed my wife and I in the Ride Smart Clinic. A few of
the highlights of the clinic were:
The best learning atmosphere of any clinic we have ever
been to - Craig and Cole took the time with each rider to help
them get better. The rider group as a whole was very
supportive and encouraging. Craig never gets tired of teaching
and will stick with you until you get better. We are better
horsemen and our horses are better horses thanks to Craig
and Cole.
Repetition - Craig repeated his instructions so you got that
needed reminder to let it sink in.
Fun exercises – Craig setup patterns for us to do each day in
the arena and round pen. Craig setup an Extreme Cowboy
obstacle course in the arena, and we did Extreme Cowboy
obstacles on the trail along with a water crossing.
Trail riding – We did a trail ride every day. One ride was 6
miles long to top of a hill with a great view. We walked, trotted,
cantered and did obstacles on all the trail rides.
Cabins – The cabins are awesome we stayed in the Colorado
which is a very nice 120 year old cabin. Our horses stayed in a
stall right in front of the cabin.
Meals – Dalene cooked the most awesome breakfast and
diners. She uses old family recipes for each meal. We had a
fresh pot of coffee each morning and enjoyed a cup around a
camp fire.
Thank You,
John and Jody Bain
